Premier Golf Centers, a Seattle based company that operates 9 municipal golf courses throughout the Puget Sound region, is looking for an experienced Golf Course Equipment Mechanic to be responsible for repairing and providing preventative maintenance to all equipment associated with course maintenance at the Lake Padden Golf Course in Bellingham, WA.

  • Performs maintenance and repair of Golf Cart Fleet.
  • Assists with on course duties including aerification, top-dressing, and tree and debris removal.
  • Lubricates and services all course maintenance equipment.
  • Inspects equipment for operating deficiencies.
  • Inspects equipment daily to ensure that all cutting adjustments are perfect.
  • Repairs and adjusts equipment.
  • Maintains repair records on all equipment.
  • Establishes and maintains safety procedures for using equipment.
  • Performs general overhaul and other preventive maintenance on all equipment.
  • Maintains blades of reel mowers.
  • Maintains inventory of common equipment maintenance and repair parts.
  • Communicates and reports any needs or problems relating to course equipment.
  • Ensure that all traffic lanes are kept clear.
  • Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the Golf Course Director / Golf Course Superintendent.
  • Maintains the mechanic’s shop area in a clean, organized, and safe fashion daily.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Vocational/Technical or post-secondary degree in small engine repair or mechanics, preferred.
  • 2+years’ experience as a mechanic, required. Experience in repairing and servicing electrical and hydraulic systems, and diesel and gas engine repairs is required
  • Experience with body repair work, including fabrication and welding.
  • Ability to repair and maintain all golf course equipment.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment, which is typical of this position. Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling. Manual dexterity is required as the mechanic works in small tight places constantly.  Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
  • Interest in the game of golf preferred.
