    We have an immediate opening for a full time Technical Sales Consultant to join the team at our Redmond, WA location. As our new Technical Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for generating technical sales by obtaining product orders through phone and email inquiries.


    The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, well-organized, technically savvy, and have the ability to self-learn complex systems. As a member of the sales team, this person will build long-term relationships with researchers by communicating both in writing and verbally. This person must also be comfortable preparing and delivering presentations and occasionally traveling to conference events. The position requires problem-solving acumen to analyze researcher questions and recommend appropriate solutions. A background in acquiring or analyzing animal behavior data, in particular hands-on experience with animal telemetry using Wildlife Computers or similar tags would be beneficial.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Respond to phone and email inquiries and promote appropriate technical products and services.
    • Provide product demonstrations and assistance in the best application of the products.
    • Follow up with existing clients to ensure high level of satisfaction.
    • Investigate and resolve client issues with products or services by providing high level technical support.
    • Call client prospects to explain technical features and qualities of products and services.
    • Work well in a team environment with all departments.
    • Perform work on weekends and evenings as needed to meet applicable deadlines.
    • Other duties as assigned.


    • Excellent organizational and time management habits. Must be able to effectively and simultaneously manage multiple accounts at various stages of the sales cycle.
    • Self-starter; motivated, team focused, and strong interpersonal skills are a must.
    • Dedication to client support and satisfaction.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
    • Must be comfortable discussing a wide array of products and technologies, and at ease interacting with professionals.
    • Developed problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
