    LKD Aerospace, a growing aerospace & defense company, in business since 1983, has an immediate opening for a full-time Buyer in Snoqualmie, WA.  LKD is a Global Distributor, Manufacturer & MRO of Aerospace Components specializing in distribution of factory new aerospace & defense components, FAA-PMA parts, OEM manufacturing of aerospace components for a variety of applications and MRO services. Our Gladiator Technologies Division designs and manufactures high performance MEMS inertial sensors and systems for OEM applications around the world.

     

    Our Buyer will be responsible for performing all activities related to procurement, planning and inventory management primarily utilizing the company’s ERP System, Quantum Control.

     

    Essential Job Duties:

    • Responsible for purchasing parts, supplies and out-sourced services efficiently, ensuring cost and budgetary constraints are adhered to.
    • Responsible for negotiating best pricing, managing vendor delivery lead-times, and ensuring they are 95% or better on-time.
    • Responsible for managing vendor relationships and surveillance in accordance with company QA policies and ensuring quality parts conform to company’s specified requirements.
    • Responsible for obtaining MSDS sheets when applicable and managing the chemical cabinet inventory and shelf-life items.
    • Works cooperatively with all other functions of the business including finance, shipping and receiving, purchasing and planning, manufacturing operations, repair operations and business development.
    • Audits and prepares OSP kits for contract manufacturing.

     

    Qualifications: 

    • Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of related experience and/or training in purchasing and inventory management in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • U.S. citizenship required for contract compliance.
    • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while working in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, required.
    • Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems, preferred.
