    At Boyer Children’s Clinic, we are committed to providing the best solutions for every child and family we serve. We are looking for a Teacher, who shares that commitment, to join our dedicated team.  Our teacher will develop, coordinate, and be responsible for a viable educational program for each enrolled child.

     

    Boyer’s education program is geared at improving cognitive, communication, motor and social skills. The classroom environment is designed to promote successful, independent exploration while meeting each child at their ability. Our classrooms include side-by-side learning of typically-developing children and children with various developmental delays or disabilities.

     

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

    • Develop and coordinate the educational program for agency children, in client homes, at other community sites, and in the center.
    • Teach in the educational program and be the educator in various multi-disciplinarian groups/teams as needed.
    • Oversee teacher aides/instructional assistants.
    • Maintain contact with parents.
    • Perform administrative duties as needed.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor of Arts degree in Special Education or Early Childhood Development, Masters preferred
    • State of Washington ESA certification
    • 2+ years of practical special education teaching experience with infants through children six years of age
    • 2+ years’ experience developing/writing Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) or equivalent
    • First Aid and CPR certified
    • Possess a valid Washington State Driver’s License and automobile insurance if driving
    • Ability to express self effectively, both orally and in writing
    • Demonstrated leadership & effective relationship skills
