    We are currently looking for an experienced full time Accounting Clerk who performs bookkeeping, daily Sales Audits and accounting tasks associated with the preparation and maintenance of Accounts Receivable and Payable.


    Responsibilities include:

    • Balances daily Point of Sale (POS) register activity to back office enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and bank deposits on a daily basis (weekends combined)
    • Reviews all incoming invoices for accuracy and approval prior to payment
    • Codes incoming invoices to applicable cost-center
    • Reconciles cash and credit card receipts to activity recorded by outside processing agencies
    • Processes internal checks and excess cash from stores and back office to the bank
    • Performs monthly reconciling of consignment accounts and processing checks
    • Manages petty cash for all locations and oversees vendor credit memo processing
    • Researches vendor invoice issues, working closely with the Buying and Receiving departments
    • Reconciles vendor statements monthly; research and correct discrepancies; contacting vendor when necessary
    • Maintains files and documentation thoroughly and accurately in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
    • Assists with maintenance of the accounts payable vendor database including acquiring W-9’s, setting up new vendors, and updating existing vendor information
    • Reviewing and allocating credit card expenses to appropriate accounts
    • Works with Warehouse Manager to ensure packing slips are received and sent to office appropriately & timely
    • Other duties as may be reasonably assigned to support the business including general admin support to a small, high energy office


    • 2+ years of accounts payable experience
    • High school diploma required, college courses in accounting preferred
    • Experience with Retail accounting/business a plus
    • Strong proficiency with MS Excel, MS Outlook and MS Word; 10-key by touch
    • Experience working with/supporting a system conversion is a plus
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and high degree of professionalism
    • Must have strong work ethic and the ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced and deadline driven environment
    • Demonstrated ability to set goals and establish pragmatic, accountable measures to ensure follow through
    • Ability to work independently or as a part of a team
    • Computer literacy and the ability to use various specialist applications
