Pacific Studio currently has an incredible opportunity for a results-oriented, energetic, and collaborative Associate Graphics Coordinator (AGC) to join our rapidly growing team.

 

Position Summary:  The AGC is responsible for the successful and timely layout, production, and completion of assigned graphic design projects as assigned by the Graphics Manager. The person in this position is responsible for successfully overseeing the production and delivery of high-quality graphics that meet the project specifications. The AGC also provides accurate and timely graphic production layouts for clients and designers (including in-house) by preparing digital print files appropriate for each print process and vendor. 

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Administrative

  • Oversee production file prep, color management, client submittals, vendor management, quality control, graphic designer duties, and graphic installation in shop or on site for all graphic types in each project as assigned by the Graphics Manager.
  • Organize and maintain all graphic schedules as assigned by the Graphics Manager.
  • Obtain quotes and provide recommendations for required work as assigned by the Graphics Manager.
  • Manage multiple high-dollar/high-volume projects as assigned by the Graphics Manager.
  • Represent the Graphics department in internal meetings as assigned by the Graphics Manager.
  • Represent the Company wtih graphics vendors; establish a positive working rapport.  

Production

  • Produce graphic layouts and designs to project specifications in the time allotted by the Graphics Manager.
  • Support clients/designers (including in-house) by preparing an accurate graphic print file for each individual part of the exhibit and its appropriate print process.
  • Produce client proofs for approval.
  • Incorporate client, fabrication, process, and/or design changes and revisions of all types.
  • Maintain a positive and supportive work environment that encourages the sharing of information and ideas.
  • Produce work within the hours assigned by the Graphics Manager.
  • Produce photo, illustration, and document scanning as required, with associated retouching and image assembly and correction.
  • Produce full-size plots for project management, design, paint, fabrication, drafting, and marketing/sales as needed.

Minimum candidate requirements:

  • Three to five years’ experience in print production coordination
  • One to three years’ experience managing multiple high-dollar/high-volume graphic production projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Demonstrable knowledge of large-format graphic production
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite applications; specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and Photo Shop
  • Production knowledge for multiple printing processes
  • Understanding of exhibit design and shop production processes
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
