Associate Product Manager

The Associate Product Manager will be responsible for executing product strategies for new and existing digital, hybrid, and physical products, across the product line. Working in support of cross-functional teams, the Associate Product Manager will gather and document requirements, focusing on maintaining quality from a user-experience perspective. In addition, this person will monitor key performance metrics and conduct market research.

The ideal candidate will be collaborative, but able to work independently as needed – knowing when to ask for help and how to problem solve is crucial. This role requires an understanding of web technologies and strong technical skills. Prior experience working with digital products is highly preferred.


Primary Responsibilities Include

Product Planning, Development, and Maintenance

  • Gather requirements and develop functional specifications for new products and features
  • Carry out tactical activities resulting from product roadmaps
  • Assist in triage, prioritization, and planning of features and releases
  • Work with cross-functional teams to help bring exceptional products to market
  • Perform user-acceptance testing and quality assurance controls

Product Support

  • Contribute to training documents for internal and external users
  • Ensure product analytics and customer feedback loops are in place and optimized for decision-makers
  • Monitor and contribute to reports on product KPIs and provide recommendations based on results

Market Research and Product Marketing

  • Perform market research and competitor reviews
  • Monitor market trends and help identify market opportunities
  • Help ensure proper marketing and positioning of products within marketing collateral

Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field
  • 2 years of related experience in Product Management, UX or equivalent
  • Hands-on experience with web technologies
  • Exposure to the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies such as Scrum
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with product/project management tools such as JIRA, InVision, and Slack
  • Exposure to agile methodologies such as Scrum
  • Knowledge of Social Emotional Learning
  • Knowledge of educational products.
