As our Acquisition Marketing Manager, you will play a leading role in our efforts to help an increasing number of pet owners learn about our life-changing meals. Your efforts will help improve the lives of pets and their owners across the country.

 

 

Who we're looking for

An experienced, data-driven Acquisition Marketing Manager who can lead the company’s efforts to acquire new trials and customers.  The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of paid acquisition experience in B2C, with a successful track record of positive results by creating strategies related to traffic, conversion rate, pricing, and executing programs that generate revenue (direct revenue generation).  

 

The successful candidate understands that working in a small, fast-growing company means finding the balance between creating strategies through proper data analysis, and ensuring program execution.  You are willing to take chances to succeed, bring a test-and-learn mindset to constantly improve results, and you enjoy working across multiple teams to get ideas implemented.

 

This key role reports to Darwin’s Vice President of Marketing.

 

Responsibilities

  • Define objectives, execution, tracking and reporting for acquisition efforts. While this will primarily be through online acquisition (mobile and web-based), this may also include some offline efforts
  • Help determine audience segmentation, and generate marketing programs to convert prospects into trials
  • Develop new traffic sources, and optimize efforts on current traffic sources
  • Drive on-site conversion rate efforts such as landing pages, pricing offers, shopping cart adjustments, etc.
  • Build our email acquisition strategy, and create effective and efficient email programs
  • Identify areas of opportunity and provide strategic recommendations around channel growth and optimization
  • Manage external agencies as needed, ensuring targets related to the planning and execution of ad buys, campaign implementation, testing, and results are attained
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging digital marketing trends and developments through industry affiliations, professional networks, and conference attendance

 

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in performance/acquisition/online marketing (B2C), developing creative strategies for acquisition and executing on those strategies
  • Proven success managing online marketing traffic and conversion rate programs (direct revenue generation)
  • Ability to work with marketing automation tools and execute email marketing campaigns
  • Results-oriented problem-solver and team player
  • High attention to detail with an ability to manage multiple, competing priorities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Deep experience with Excel and web-related analytical tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Economics or a relevant field, MBA preferred
